Well that was interesting....

A week ago Thursday was the deadline for tuition payments at the University.  Tuesday was the add/drop deadline.  I made sure that all my paperwork was in order and made the payment that I was supposed to on Thursday, only to get an email on Tuesday that I'd been dropped from all my courses for non-payment.  Apparently there was some sort of computer error.  This resulted in lots of drama and a LONG visit with some advisors as I tried to get back into all of my classes before the deadline went into effect.  I mostly managed, but I couldn't get back into one of my bio classes.  Now I have to take it in the summer or I'll need a whole extra year to get my last course because of the way the prerequisites work out (or don't).  Now I'm taking stats, I've only been to one lecture, and I have an assignment due this week.  And I haven't done any math classes since about 2000.  I have a lot of catching up to do!

My new timetable sees me starting at 1230 on Thursdays, which is going to be nice.  That makes up for Tuesdays, when I go from 8-2 without a break.  Working on those days is going to suck!  I'm still hoping to get them off.

Winter has finally come, and it's about -20 out there, -30 with the wind chill.  The pony is a ball of fluff and fat, so she's quite content, and the dogs are trying to avoid going out for more than a couple of minutes for any reason.  That goes for the human elements, too, as we hunker down and remind ourselves that we've been charmed so far this winter, and this was bound to happen sooner or later.  But couldn't the cold have happened when we weren't all sick?  One winter I'm sure I'll eventually get that break....
